Why I Write

In the midst of National Writing Day, I’ve decided to compile the reasons I write.

I write things I would never have the courage to say out loud.

I write about my plans and goals I hope to accomplish.

I write to express my ideas, thoughts, and opinions.

I write to find peace in things beyond my control.

I write to remember all the times I cherish.

I write about questions and their answers.

I write to find hope and faith.

I write to find inner peace.

I write to understand.

I write to forget.

I write to heal.

Here is a link to a post I made on twitter about #whyiwrite, my post even got featured on the official NCTE website!
